The English Opens Doors Program is pleased to extend the invitation to the
1ST BRITISH COUNCIL NEW DIRECTIONS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT: LATIN AMERICA, 21ST – 23RD MARCH, 2019, to be held at UNIVERSIDAD IBEROAMERICANA, MEXICO CITY
New Directions is a conference for English Language Assessment specialists in connection with academia, policy and practice; showcasing innovative approaches and research locally, regionally and internationally.
This is the British Council’s first New Directions conference in the Latin America region, bringing this expert-led event from Asia to new audiences. This will be an annual event to provide connections between countries across the region and with the wider international language testing research community.
The main theme of this year’s conference is:
Alignment of assessment with learning outcomes, curriculum and teaching
And the following sub-themes will also be considered as presentation proposals:
Assessment for mobility in employment and education
Assessing English for Specific Purposes
Assessing the language proficiency of teachers
Assessment literacy
Assessment and stakeholder expectations / perceptions
Assessing speaking

The Call for Papers is open until January 31st, 2019 and we would very much welcome a proposal from you or your organisation.
