The English Opens Doors Program (PIAP) is offering 3 different online Professional Development Courses this semester. Running from 2 May to 8 July, these courses are designed to provide tools and opportunities for making the teaching and learning process more impactful, engaging, and effective.
Over the course of 10 weeks, teachers will work in PIAP’s Moodle platform watching content capsules, doing independent practice activities, and participating in discussion forums.

- Classroom Management: This course will allow participants to develop effective classroom management strategies to foster innovation and deep learning with their students.
Teachers will learn how to:
- structure and deliver their teaching in a more student-centered and cooperative learning atmosphere
- develop working methods and approaches for building positive and welcoming Classroom environment
- increase parent involvement in their EFL lessons during the school year

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT REGISTRATION FORM
- Summative Assessment: participants will learn to independently design, develop and deliver performance-based summative assessments using the Aims of Performance-based Summative Assessments and the Backwards Design model for unit planning. By learning how to analyze assessment tools and to utilize assessment data, participants will gain insight into how assessment can be used as a firm foundation to help students achieve learning objectives.

SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT REGISTRATION FORM
- Project-based Learning (PBL): Participants will dive deep into the eight Gold Standards of PBL projects and will also learn how to create groups, include content instruction, differentiate projects, and integrate assessments throughout the project. Not only will you learn the key elements of planning, implementing, and adapting PBL to work with your students, but you will also plan your first PBL project throughout the course, ensuring you have the tools to make PBL a success in your context.

PROJECT-BASED LEARNING REGISTRATION FORM
Applications are open from 31 March to 17 April and spaces are limited. Apply for your spot in the registration form.
To be eligible to participate, keep in mind that you must:
- Be an English teacher at a public (municipal, delegated administration, or local public education service) or government-subsidized school.
- Not be enrolled or participating in any other PIAP training initiative simultaneously (e.g., TP Training, etc.).
You will be given priority if you:
- Participated in Teachers’ Academy and/or the Mentoring Program in 2019-2021 and/or:
- Are an active member of an English Teachers’ Network (RDI).
